For medical practices
FindingMyDoc lists urgent care, primary care and pediatric clinics across Texas. Your practice is almost certainly already here. This page explains what you get by claiming it, and exactly how we decide the order clinics appear in — because you should not have to guess.
Claiming your listing is free
It always will be. There is no account to create, no password, and no card. You claim a listing by proving you can be reached at a phone number or email address already published for your practice — we send a code to one of them and you type it back. You choose which one; you cannot give us a new one. That is deliberate, and it is what stops anyone else claiming your clinic.
Once claimed, you control what we show: hours, services, the insurance you take, whether you have a lab and at what certification level, workers’ comp, occupational medicine, and a link to your own online booking.
How we order clinics — the whole formula
Most directories will not tell you this. Ours is simple enough to publish.
Listings sort into three tiers, and within a tier they are scored out of roughly 100:
- Verified — 40 points. You claimed the listing and confirmed the details are right.
- Completeness — up to 50 points. How much of your profile is filled in. Insurance is weighted heaviest, then services, then the core details. This is the single biggest thing under your control.
- A live badge on your site — 10 points. A tiebreaker, deliberately small.
After that: review count, then alphabetical. The average listing in our directory currently scores 17 out of 100, because almost nothing has been claimed yet. A completed profile is not a marginal improvement — it moves you past nearly everyone in your city.
Why completeness is the thing that matters
Not just with us. A patient searching for a clinic wants to know one thing above all: do you take my insurance? Google knows that too. A page that answers it, lists real services, and shows accurate hours is a page worth ranking. A page scraped from a map pin is not.
We hold the map-pin version of 16,000 Texas clinics. It is a commodity, and every directory has it. What none of them have is what you know about your own practice. That is the trade: you tell us, we publish it, and the page works harder for both of us.
The verified badge
Once you have claimed and completed your listing you can put a verified badge on your own website. We host the graphic, so it cannot go stale, and it links back to your listing. It is free, it is not tied to any payment, and it never will be — a badge you had to buy would not mean anything.
Featured placement
We are not selling it yet, and we would rather say so than take your money early.
Featured slots will be limited and capped — a small number per city, not an unlimited shelf. Before we price anything we want to be able to show real numbers: how many people saw your listing, and how many called or clicked through. Selling visibility on a directory that has not proven its visibility is not a deal we would take, so we are not offering it.
We are putting together a founding cohort of about twenty practices who get featured placement free while we build that evidence. In exchange we ask for honest feedback and permission to use the traffic data to set fair pricing later. If you want one of those places, say so below.
What we will and will not do
- We will never charge you to correct wrong information about your practice. Corrections are free and always will be.
- We do not accept edits to your Google rating or review count. Those are Google’s numbers, shown as Google’s.
- We do not sell your information, and we do not share mobile opt-in data with anyone.
- Placement that has been paid for or is commercially influenced is labelled as such, every time.
Get started
Find your practice in the directory and use the claim link on its page. If we have missed you entirely, you can add your clinic — we verify it, then a person reviews it before it goes live.
