Text Message Terms
Effective 14 August 2026.
These terms cover the text messages sent by FindingMyDoc, a service of CXO Systems, LLC. They apply to anyone who asks us to send a text through findingmydoc.com.
What the program is
FindingMyDoc sends text messages for account verification and profile updates only. There are exactly three kinds:
- a one-time code to verify you when you claim your clinic’s listing;
- a one-time code to confirm a clinic you have submitted to the directory;
- a link to the form where you update your own listing.
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. Not offers, not newsletters, not reminders to upgrade. If you ever receive one from us, it is a mistake and we want to hear about it.
How you opt in
You opt in yourself, on this site, at the moment you need a code. During a claim or a clinic submission you are shown the contact methods we already hold for that practice and you choose one. If you choose the phone number, you are asking us to text that number.
We never add a number to a list, buy one, or text a number that has not been chosen this way. There is no standing subscription — each message follows a request you just made.
How often you will hear from us
Only when you ask. In practice this is one message per claim, submission, or update request. There is no recurring schedule, and message frequency varies with how often you use the service.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for these messages, but your mobile carrier may, depending on your plan.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message from us. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and then nothing further.
We record that opt-out against your phone number, and it is not time-limited. It also stops our phone calls to that number — if you tell us to stop contacting you, we take that to mean contacting you, not merely texting you.
If you later need a code at that number, you can start again by replying START, or by choosing the phone option on the site again.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any message, or email [email protected]. A person reads that address.
Carriers
Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, Cricket, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed, and a message can be delayed or dropped for reasons outside our control — which is one reason every code we send by text is also available by email or by phone call.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and either the subscriber to the phone number you give us, or authorised to use it. Please do not give us a number that is not yours; the code that arrives will let someone edit a clinic’s public listing.
Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party.
We use a messaging provider (Telnyx) to deliver these messages, which necessarily sees the number and the message in order to deliver it. That is delivery, not sharing for marketing. Everything else we hold is described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes
If these terms change we will update the effective date above.
